The Online Master of Public Health program at the Keck School of Medicine of USC can help you achieve your goals and make a lasting impact in the field of public health. Our program is accredited by the Council on Education in Public Health (CEPH) as a program in public health. Students in the Online MPH program can expect to gain foundational knowledge and develop their competencies in public health practice.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Strong academic promise to perform successfully at the graduate level, typically evidenced by a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 grading scale)
Application Materials
- Letters of Recommendation: Submit at least three letters of recommendation. If you graduated within the last 4 years, or have a GPA below 3.0, at least one letter must be from a former professor.
- Statement of Purpose: A 500–1,000 word essay addressing the following questions:
- Why are you interested in pursuing the MPH degree?
- How will an MPH degree affect or enhance your career aspirations and goals?
- Resume: Current professional resume or curriculum vitae
- Official Transcripts: Official transcripts must be received from each accredited college or university attended.
International applicants must also submit the following documents:
- Translated Official Transcripts: Official transcripts indicating the award of all degrees with the title and date conferred in the student’s native language and an exact translation into English of each transcript.
- English Proficiency Exam Scores: Official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or the Pearson Test of English (PTE). These scores are required of international applicants whose native language is not English.
- Minimum TOEFL Requirements: Internet-based exam score (iBT) of 90 with no less than 20 points on each sub-score
- Minimum IELTS Requirements: A total score of 6.5, with no less than six on each band score
- Minimum PTE Requirements: A total score of 61 or above, with 53 or above on each band score
The GRE is not required.

Applicants should note that the Keck School of Medicine does not accept applications from Mississippi, North Dakota or Puerto Rico to the Online MPH program.
Additionally, the Online MPH program does not qualify to issue Form I-20 to international students. International applicants should also contact the Online MPH Admissions Office to confirm their eligibility.
