About the Department of Population and Public Health Services

Part of the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the Department of Population and Public Health Sciences is a national leader in advancing public health through research, education, and community engagement. Founded in 1977, the department is organized into five divisions and consistently ranks among the top in NIH funding for public health research. Faculty and students work across disciplines to address pressing health challenges—from cancer epidemiology and environmental health to global disease prevention and health behavior. With 12 degree programs and over 100 faculty members, the department fosters innovation and equity in public health, empowering future leaders to improve health outcomes locally and globally.

The Master of Public Health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
